Audio - The unavoidable tangibility of the book or, the ANTI-BOOK

2019-03-22
The so-called artist books intend to deeply explore the medium Book. In this sense, they end up playing and developing political, economic and social resistance and subversion. Obviously, the radicalization of these book creation strategies ends up becoming limited, hindering the relationship and the interest of the non-specialized public, as they tend to approach, confusing themselves, with works of art such as painting or sculpture that , not infrequently, are single works or of reduced and controlled duplication. Most of these objects circulate in galleries and museums or at special events, such as the increasingly frequent artist book fairs. Collection objects are acquired and valued by private collectors and institutions. Its maximum uniqueness is its highest capitalization value.
