Following the exhibition Half a Century of Portuguese Art. 1944-2004 , which in 2004 marked the 10th anniversary of the Museu do Chiado - MNAC, the museum collection is once again on display, this time in an exhibition strictly dedicated to the 19th century. The idea behind the exhibition is to look at Portuguese art from this era via eighty four works of art by twenty eight artists, organized in ten specific areas that aim to identify some of the more relevant themes.
