Curated by Emília Ferreira, on the 6th of June, at 3 pm, at the Museu do Côa, the exhibition “O Desenho, Força que nasce do Silêncio” will open.

This exhibition is part of the project [Portugal among Heritage], promoted by MNAC (National Museum of Contemporary Art) and of the partnership established with the Museu do Côa, within the scope of [PeP], in its "Approximation to art" axis, which promotes material or digital activities of local or remote accessibility in the national territory.

After the inauguration, which will be attended by the Assistant Secretary of State and for Cultural Heritage, Ângela Ferreira, the President of the Côa Parque Foundation, Bruno Navarro, as well as the MNAC Director, Emília Ferreira, the respective catalog will be made available online, which also documents the setting up of the exhibition and its opening to the public.

About [Portugal among Heritage] - [PEP]

Launched in October 2018, it had full activity in 2019, through Cycles of Conversations, World Cafés, and its first publications (on paper and online).

This collaborative network, designed and coordinated by MNAC, with a project and coordination by Lúcia Saldanha, involves more than 60 employees throughout the national territory (including islands).

The first publication was that of José Manuel dos Santos' short monograph, “A Atençao”. Published on paper, in collaboration with one of our {PEP] partners, the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, it is also accessible online:

Our first interview with national personalities is also on paper and freely available here:

This is an absolutely innovative project of a collaborative network that links MNAC - as an axis - with other museums, universities, cultural and recreational associations, music festivals, heritage networks, tourist partners, etc., in a network that unites the so-called high culture to popular culture, with a pro bono and inclusive character, experiencing culture and heritage as something central and necessary in our lives.
