In black and white, and through the symbolic power of portraiture, two photographers from different backgrounds have aesthetically and freely captured the substance of their own cities, Düsseldorf and Lisbon.

Consisting of founding works of contemporary Portuguese art historiography, from 1850 to the present day, the MNAC's collection holds several national treasures.
