Noites de Verão 2026 - Maria Reis

2026-09-26
2026-09-26

Maria Reis is one of the most beloved voices in contemporary Portuguese music. Co-founder of the Cafetra collective, she began her artistic journey with the punk band Pega Monstro, leaving behind iconic tracks such as Akon and Partir a Loiça, as well as a legacy of transcendent live performances that linger in the Atlantic mist of devoted listeners’ memories.

Following the band's hiatus in 2018, she embarked on a solo career, revealing a unique blend of raw strength and sensitivity. In 2019, she released Chove na Sala, Água nos Olhos, showcasing her talent for creating impressionistic portraits of everyday life. In 2021, she followed with Flor da Urtiga, produced by Panda Bear, and then Benefício da Dúvida (2022), a more stripped-back and honest work. Two years ago, she released Suspiro…, reflecting a new artistic maturity through songs that mirror both real and imagined experiences, deeply resonating with audiences.

This concert marks the reopening of the Sculpture Garden, a space that has been both significant and cherished throughout the history of the MNAC Summer Nights, following the conservation and restoration works recently carried out there.
