Ultratremor, curated by Germano Dushá, brings together sixteen Portuguese and Brazilian artists whose practices investigate the passages between the material and the immaterial, the body and the spirit, the image and the unseen. The exhibition proposes a field of resonance in which art becomes a means of making perceptible what lies beyond ordinary perception.
Taking the notion of “tremor” as vibration, transformation, and revelation, the works engage with phenomena that exist at the limits of language, memory, and sensory experience. Drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, installation, sound, and performance converge in an exhibition marked by apparitions, hauntings, and states of transition.
Through subtle gestures and invisible intensities, the artists evoke cosmologies, rituals, processes of metamorphosis, and investigations into the nature of images, creating a space where the visible is continually shaped by hidden, affective, and spiritual forces.
