MNAC presents Paths of Portuguese Art, a series of guided tours inviting visitors to explore different perspectives on Portuguese art through the collections of the National Museum of Contemporary Art.

Held monthly, each session focuses on a specific theme and is led by a guest curator, researcher, or specialist, offering diverse insights into the artists, artworks, and movements that have shaped the history of Portuguese art.

From September 2026 to June 2027, the programme will address topics such as the legacy of Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro, the work of José Rodrigo, the Academy and nineteenth-century exhibitions, the artistic production of António Areal and Álvaro Lapa, Portuguese modernism, Surrealism, the internationalisation of Portuguese art, photography and Neo-Realism, among others.

These guided tours offer a unique opportunity to deepen knowledge of Portuguese art while fostering dialogue between visitors and invited experts.
