'Sonnets from the Portuguese' (1850), by Elizabeth B. Browning, as a pseudo-translation and illustration as reinforcement of the effect of the real.

On June 29, 2021, MNAC marks the 160th anniversary of the death of the English poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning, author of "Sonnets from the Portuguese", revisited through a lecture by Rogério Miguel Puga (Associate Professor, CETAPS, NOVA FCSH), who it will also deal with the illustrations of the work, which summon the (supposed) Portuguese origin of the poems.
